As the second largest city in Croatia and the key destination in central Dalmatia, city of Split offers and true Mediterranean atmosphere and holiday experience. With new motorway to Zagreb and soon to be completed motorway to Dubrovnik, Split is a true Dalmatia's holiday centre. Split's ferry harbour provides island ferries to the nearby islands, coastal towns and international connections. The close-by Split airport provides flight connections to many European cities, as well as internal flights to Zagreb and Dubrovnik. There are also bus and train connections to other parts of Croatia. Most of the pictures in this Split gallery show the old-look Split Riva and promenade, which were rennovated in 2006.
