Visit Rab Island Towns

One of the most developed Croatian islands

Rab is nestled between Krk island to its north, Cres island to its west, and Pag island to its south. This is one of the most developed of Croatian islands. Its southern end is closer to the mainland, where you can catch a ferry from Stinica on the mainland and Misnjak on the island. Ferries also connect with the nearby island of Krk and Pag. Being one of the most populous islands in Croatia, you will find many interesting towns on this island, starting with its main, Rab town.

find many sightseeing places, excellent choice of accommodation and restaurants.

With over 100 sunny days and mild winters, this is also one of the sunniest islands. (Brač is considered the sunniest island in Croatia.) The northeast part of this island is a windswept region that has a barren look, high cliffs and few settlements. The more densely populated southwest boasts of coves, beaches and pine forests. There are more than 30 sandy beaches on the island.

Rab island towns

There are 8 towns and villages on the island, with a population of about 10,000. The largest and the main town on the island is of the same name, Rab town. The other townships are: Lopar, Supetarska Draga, Mundanije, Palit, Kamport, Banjol, Barbat and Dolin.

In the interior of Rab you will find fertile land that mountains protect from cold winds to allow people to cultivate vegetables, grapes, and olives. Lagoons and coves that stretch to the strikingly beautiful Suha Punta resort and Kalifront cape fringe the northwest peninsula that emerges from Supetarska Draga. To the north of Supetarska Draga is the Lopar Peninsula, that boasts many sandy beaches.
